What makes a quote useful
Two things make the numbers you get back comparable rather than confusing:
- Say what you're actually replacing. The whole system, one unit, or a repair are different conversations with different scopes - see what it costs for why that matters first.
- Say what's not working, if anything. A dead compressor, a furnace that won't ignite, or a system that's simply old changes what a technician needs to check before quoting.
